A Short Walk around the Knepp Estate with the GFX100RF

I have lived in Sussex for over 30 years – Worthing for almost 20 and the previous 10 in Horsham.

I have known about the Knepp Estate for a long time but for some reason, never visited.

I corrected that today.

After editing last night’s job I went to expore and get some lunch, taking the GFX and my sketchpad (for some reason I ended up not sketching).

After a delicious lunch (Beef Shin Stew if you would like to know), I headed out on the shortest path (as I had about an hour – needing to do some tidying up in the Garden).

The strap on the GFX (one of my inital moans) is starting to soften, making it easier to wrap around my wrist when carrying:

The camera was set to the Kodak T-Max P3200 recipe, shooting in RAW and JPG.

The following are the JPGs, direct from the camera, having just the black and white levels corrected. I really like this recipe…

I could not decide between the two images above; I think I prefer the first.

One of the nice things abot the fixed lens is not having to worry about dust bunnies (I did see other bunnies), it’s very rare I shoot at these sorts of apertures (plus it does not suite my main subjects).

Finally my favorite from the day…

I really like this last one – I think it is worth the time to print it, it should look wonderful! The variations in the tones and the transition from soft to sharp. I’m looking forward to seeing this BIG.

That is this Thursday’s gallery post (a little later than normal but I am keeping up with the schedule at the moment.)

More Monday.

Have a great weekend
