WOMAD 2026

A few weeks ago I was at the 2026 edition of the WOMAD festival on its lovely new site, Neston Park. This festival has featured in a number of posts here over the years so I thought a quick write up from this year was in order;

A trip to the football

This weekend we took a trip to the local team, Worthing F.C. for a pre-season friendly against Horsham. I joined the 1000+ fans, just to get a feel of what lower league matches are like .

Exploring New York: My Forgotten Photo Collection

This weekend I've started going through my archive tidying up my discs and making sure everything is backed up and I have multiple copies of everything (partly because I've subscribed to Backblaze and I've got my main archive currently backing up). With my last purchase being the GFX camera back in January, it was obviously time for me to spend some more money and apparently, rushes of blood to the head (or purse) are like buses; 2 come along in short succession.

Worthing Beach: My Creative Retreat

I have lived in Worthing now for almost 20 years. During this time the beach has been a constant for me (obviously - it’s not going anywhere!). For many of those years, the first thing I would do each morning (when I was free), was walk down to the beach and catch the sunrise, or if middle of the summer when the sunrise was too early, at least catch the beach and the sea when there was no-one else around; just me and the sea. Alone. Wonderful.
