Japanese maple (Acer palmatum) gallery

Yesterday evening, I spent a little time in the garden with an AD200 flash, a stand, a beauty dish and the GFX.

This morning, I did a quick process, playing a little more with Filmpack, looking at the different looks.

My initial inspiration was the monochromes I took in a coffee shop in Berlin (in tern, the inspiration for these images was Maplethorpes The Complete Flowers

These were just a quick test as I have an idea for once my Maple is a bit fuller later in the summer. These have proved the idea and confirmed I will need to use a bigger Light source. Until then…
