Self Portrait - Day 6 of 7 Back to the straight on image, shot down "length" of the office, but getting a little tighter (unflattering). Instead of going back to the flash and modifier, the plan here was to stick with the natural light (as it was actually during the morning), using a (smaller than yesterday) reflector to bounce the light back from the window to fill in the shadow.

Friday and I had a little more time today, I also had left the lights out from the day before as the plan was to build on that. (In case you have not noticed, I decided after the first 2 days to also show the way a portrait can be built in the same location with easy changes to the lighting).

I finished my last post with the mention that I have moved to covering the larger events using an M3 Macbook Pro instead of the iPad. So Why and how?

Having worked at this festival a number of times, I knew, when packing, that all I needed was a couple of camera bodies and 2 or 3 lenses. Of course, thats not what I packed. As ever confidence deserted me at the last moment, with the worry of jobs I may or may not get, leading me to pack a couple of additional lenses (the 16-80 for example - 24-120 in "real money" ).
