Having worked at this festival a number of times, I knew, when packing, that all I needed was a couple of camera bodies and 2 or 3 lenses. Of course, thats not what I packed. As ever confidence deserted me at the last moment, with the worry of jobs I may or may not get, leading me to pack a couple of additional lenses (the 16-80 for example - 24-120 in "real money" ).

Berlin…. (again!)
A few years ago, in Berlin, I was persuaded by another photographer to continue writing this blog (I had taken some time out back then). It seemed appropriate that I should wait till I was here again to start re-writing.

We have all seen the image by French photographer Jerome Brouillet of Brazilian surfer Gabriel Medina. It's astonishing. Brilliant. A moment in time that even the TV coverage did not capture.
