Wicked Little…. Monochrome’s

Monday this week, the cast of “Wicked Little Letters” joined Mark Kermode on the stage of the BFI. The next day I was photographing them again at the European Premiere for the film.

I approached the job with my “standard kit” of 2 x Fuji H2’s which I have been using as a pair for a few months now. I am really pleased with how they compliment each other. Generally (as with this premiere) I have the 16-80mm on the H2 and (depending on the subject distance) I have either the 100-400 or the 90mm on the H2S. For this premiere it was the 90mm.

Using the 16-80mm (24-120mm equivalent ) on the high resolution H2 gives me a nice flexibility with the cropping, whist the speed on the H2s ensures I can nail the focus even with the 90mm wide open.

With the new battery in my MacBook pro and with the BAFTA’s on the horizon, I have recently been editing more on the laptop than the iPad just to get back into the swing of it before the “big weekend”.

What follows is my Monochrome images shot at this premiere, with the editing being completed in Silver Efex Pro by Nik….

Let me know what you think….

I’m writing this having just finished the editing for the World Premiere of Dune 2. I’ll post a gallery from that event next Monday before a few posts about the BAFTA’s

More soon.
