It’s Sabotage!

You may or may not know, and if you do know, you may not care that as well as the work you see regularly here, I also spend a lot of my time in a small seafront art studio at East beach Studios, Worthing.

I show a small selection from my photography also.

Well this is changing. I’ve just handed in my notice here and collected the keys to a new space in the centre of Worthing Town, on the “Hip” Warwick Street.

Working with 2 partners, I am part of a team that will be opening a new Gallery Sabotage.

There is a fair amount of work to do, cleaning, re-modelling parts, signage and lighting. Quite a challenge, a challenge which I am relishing, which is quite a surprise! It seems I was wrong when I thought my gradual move into the Art World was a winding down of my career.

Looking back over the years so far (it’s coming up to my birthday as I write this and that always leads to far too much introspection), my journey has taken quite a few twists and turns. I might not be covering hard news any more but I do feel that my journey through this life leads me to a point where I have more to say about the human condition.

As well as land & sea-scapes that (are meant to) say something about our connection with nature, I am going to return to figure-work, working both photographically and in paint.

Although there may (still) not be a great deal of my photography on the walls of the gallery, there will be many (limited edition) prints available of all of my work to view and discuss (as we will have plenty of print storage).

We will be putting the gallery together over the next 6 weeks, opening softly in this time before having a proper opening (dates to be decided). During this time you can expect updates and photographs as the gallery takes shape.
